As part of our operations team, we are looking for someone to take care of all the little things that equip our team to do the absolute best job they can!

Here's what we are looking for

We’re looking for someone who keeps everything in the office running smoothly, including our colleagues’ home offices. You take care of all the little things that are needed for effective office operations, and you do it so efficiently that no one even notices. You answer the phone, set up our desks, manage office supplies, and make lunch. You have a panorama view of the office; you easily scan to see what can be done and take the initiative to get it done or find someone who can.

You're an organizational all-rounder; you keep the office tidy and organized while also taking care of small requests from your colleagues, e.g. replacing a broken mouse or ordering a new laptop. You take charge of most of the behind-the-scenes preparation and planning in the company, keeping track of details almost flawlessly and taking action when needed. You're the go-to person for when something needs fixing or improvement.

Basically, you do all the little things that may seem minor but the office can't function well without. You're the key to making the Binkies office a welcoming and hospitable place to be!


What you bring to the table

Minimum requirements:

  • 18 years old or older
  • Available 18-24 hours/week for at least 6 months
  • Tool-savvy: technology is no stranger to you. You're no mechanical engineer, but you can effortlessly replace keyboards, assess when we need to call a maintenance worker for the fridge (and make the call), and make online orders.
  • Resourceful and independent: when a new or unexpected issue arises, you're the first to spring into action, figuring out unique solutions if there is no easy or apparent fix. For example, a package that was supposed to arrive never did, and the delivery company doesn't seem to know why that is—what do you do?
  • People-person: you will be interacting with your colleagues pretty much all the time, and if not your colleagues, then maintenance and cleaning personnel.
  • Service-oriented: Anticipating and fulfilling people's needs is second nature to you, and you enjoy making people feel good.

Bonus points if you:

  • Speak Dutch; since our office is located in the Netherlands, Dutch will make it easier to communicate externally, for example with our Dutch-speaking suppliers.
  • Are available to work (almost) every day for a few hours a day.

Our recruitment pipeline 

When you have applied through our website there will be an initial screening. If you pass this screening you will receive two short assessments. After passing the assessments, we will plan a video call with you and the CEO (to get to know you and for you to ask questions). The last step is an interview day with several interviews and practical assignments. This part of the process is to check if there is a mutual fit. We invest a lot of time with new potential Binkies because we want people to be happy in the long run.
